Reveal Imaging Technologies, Inc.

Announces American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Funded Contracts are Creating Over 500 Jobs

Recovery act funding accelerates on-going efforts to enhance airport security

Bedford, Mass., February 17, 2010 — Reveal Imaging Technologies, Inc., a developer of industry-leading threat detection solutions, announced today that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), which is celebrating its one-year anniversary, has funded Reveal contracts that are estimated to create and retain over 500 jobs.

To mark the anniversary of the signing of ARRA, Reveal’s Bedford headquarters was chosen as the site for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ celebration. Other local ARRA award recipients were invited to the Reveal facility to meet with Governor Patrick and Congressman Tierney.

“In the last year, we’ve made the Recovery Act personal by investing in our people and our future and creating the jobs that will build a better, stronger Commonwealth,” said Governor Patrick. “You don’t have to look any further than Reveal to know that the Recovery Act is working. They have added hundreds of private sector jobs developing ways to enhance homeland security for the Commonwealth and the country and their success is being replicated in businesses in every region of the state.”

“The passage of the Recovery Act one year ago was intended to help bring our economy back from the brink,” said Congressman John F. Tierney (D-MA). “Reveal is a great example of how the federal funding in this legislation has helped to create and retain jobs, rebuilding our economy on sound footing while also working to improve our national security.”

Investing in these critical airport security technologies demonstrates the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s ongoing commitment to use its Recovery Act funds to create jobs while making Americans safer. The ARRA funding has enabled the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to accelerate its efforts to deploy the latest and most effective technology to airports across the country.

“Reveal received nearly $80 million in contracts, funded by ARRA, from the TSA for our CT-80 DR, a next generation Explosives Detection System (EDS),” according to Michael Ellenbogen, president and CEO, Reveal. “As a small business, we were able to move quickly to put these funds to work. This allowed Reveal to accelerate manufacturing and installation of systems that improve passenger security and convenience at our nation’s airports. And safeguarding people, places and transportation is why we’re in business.”
